Solar Beyond Rooftops

Solar is an investment in the future for our planet and for your pocketbook. As energy costs are on the rise, installing a solar array gives you peace of mind that your bill will be predictable moving forward. Not everyone has access to a rooftop, but there are several other options that utilize the power of solar energy.

Ground Mounts

Whether you don't have the space on your roof or it isn't an ideal location to soak up the sun, the second most common installation style is called a ground mount. This is where panels are positioned toward the sun on a racking system. This is perfect for anyone who has some extra space on their property, as the panels can be perfectly positioned to give you maximum exposure.

Carports and Pergolas

There are endless options to get creative with where to put your solar panels. Many customers will install arrays on top of a pergola or carport instead of their home roof. Utilizing the panels as both cover for their vehicles or patio and also as the conduit for powering their home.

Community Solar

For those who don't want to or can't install solar on their property, community solar projects are a great option to look into. These are large, off-site facilities that multiple households can benefit from. Most commonly, these households either purchase part of the facility or subscribe to access the energy created by these facilities. These facilities are usually owned by a third party that works with the local utility.

If you don't have a rooftop option, there are still possibilities for you to harness the power of the sun!
